Map

Hounslow the town, Hounslow the borough

"Hounslow" can mean two places. There's the town, and there's the London Borough of Hounslow, a council area of 22 wards that reaches as far as Chiswick, Brentford, Isleworth and Feltham. Five of those wards carry the town's name: Hounslow Central, Hounslow East, Hounslow West, Hounslow South and Hounslow Heath. This page is about the town and the TW3 streets around its centre, and takes in a bit of TW4 as well.

Town and borough meet at Hounslow House, 7 Bath Road, where you'll find the council offices and the library.

Metropolitan Centre

Town centre status

hounslow.gov.uk

That's how the London Plan 2021 lists Hounslow town centre, and the council calls it the borough's largest.

We clean in Hounslow and in the rest of the borough. The town/borough split only matters for one thing, and it's about the guides we link to further down.

Four stations and a pedestrianised High Street

TfL lists three Piccadilly line stations with Hounslow in the name, and the town has a National Rail station as well.

Station Line or operator Zone Road
Hounslow East Piccadilly line 4 Kingsley Road, TW3 4AB
Hounslow Central Piccadilly line 4 Lampton Road, TW3 1JG
Hounslow West Piccadilly line 5 Bath Road, TW3 3DH
Hounslow (National Rail) South Western Railway 5 Not given in the TfL listing

The council's own description of the town centre is three stations (one overground, two underground) with trains to London and Heathrow.

The High Street is split in two. According to the council, the western end is pedestrianised and the eastern end is one-way for buses and taxis only, so you can't always pull up outside a shop or flat on it. When you ask for a quote, tell us the nearest place to stop and whether there's a loading bay, permit parking or a car park behind the building.

Shops and offices in the town centre

The town has two shopping centres, the Treaty Centre and the Blenheim Centre, and the council lists offices, public services and a theatre alongside them. Bell Square, on the High Street, is where the council puts on its outdoor arts events. Our hours are 6am to 10pm every day of the week, so a shop or office can be cleaned before it opens or after the last customer has gone.

The office cleaning service takes in desks, kitchens, washrooms and floors. We wrote our office cleaning guide for Uxbridge. Its first section, on the Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992, is national law, so a Hounslow office can follow it as written. The later parts on business parking bays and trade waste times are Hillingdon's rules; skip those and look up Hounslow's.

New flats, rented homes and moving out

4,000 new homes

Housing Zone

hounslow.gov.uk

Due in Hounslow town centre between 2015 and 2025, after the council made it a Mayoral Housing Zone.

One development, the Hounslow High Street Quarter, has 588 homes, a multi-screen cinema and commercial units. What comes next is set out in the Hounslow Town Centre Masterplan 2024, which the council approved on 11 March 2024.

New flats and rented homes mean tenancies ending and starting. If you're moving out, book an end of tenancy clean. The end of tenancy guide explains the Tenant Fees Act 2019 and how the Deposit Protection Service looks at cleaning disputes. Those are national rules for tenancies in England, so they hold in Hounslow too. Ignore its bulky waste prices, though. Those are Hillingdon's.

Landlords getting a flat ready between tenants can look at landlord cleaning, and short-let hosts at Airbnb cleaning. After a new kitchen or a loft conversion, after builders cleaning is for the fine dust the work leaves on everything.

Houses near Lampton Park and Hounslow Heath

Lampton Park is on Harte Road in TW3 and holds a Green Flag Award. Hounslow Heath, off Hanworth Road in TW4, has one too, and the council lists it as a statutory Local Nature Reserve and a site of Metropolitan importance for wildlife. If you've parked there since 2021, you've used the car park the council redid that year, with recycled plastic eco-grid instead of tarmac and a one-way system.

For a home near either, a regular domestic clean every week or fortnight keeps the kitchen and bathroom under control. A deep clean is the one-off for built-up grease and limescale. If someone in the house reacts to certain products, or you'd rather we used yours, say so in the quote form.

Asking for a price

Use the form at /contact and give us the property type, the number of rooms, how often you want it cleaned and your Hounslow postcode. We'll send a written price back. It helps to have a few answers ready first.

Before your first clean in Hounslow

  • Work out the nearest place to stop, and whether there's a loading bay, permit parking or a car park behind the building
  • Decide how the cleaner gets in, and who'll be there to open up
  • Count the rooms, and pick the ones that matter most for a deep clean
  • For a shop or office, note your opening hours so the clean fits before you open or after you close
  • List any products someone in the house reacts to, or put out your own if you'd rather we used them
  • After building work, check the builders have finished before you book the after builders clean

The areas we cover page lists the other towns that have their own page.
