Services in West Drayton
A council report on parking near Hillingdon's Elizabeth line stations says the new service brought significant increases in new or upgraded homes around West Drayton and Hayes & Harlington stations. New and upgraded homes mean move-ins and building dust, so tenancy and after builders cleans come first on this page. Regular home cleaning and office cleaning for the district centre are there too.
End of tenancy cleaning
Move-out cleans for tenants, landlords and letting agents, ready for the inventory check.
What it involvesResidential cleaning
Regular cleaning of kitchens, bathrooms and living areas, as often as you need it.
What it involvesPost-construction cleaning
We clear the fine dust, debris and residue left after building or refurbishment work.
What it involvesCommercial and office cleaning
Out-of-hours cleaning of desks, washrooms, kitchens and floors in offices, studios and shared spaces.
What it involvesYiewsley and West Drayton
Hillingdon's Local Plan counts "Yiewsley - West Drayton" as a single district centre, one of five in the borough along with Hayes, Ruislip, Eastcote and Green Lane in Northwood. A council report on parking calls Station Road and High Street Yiewsley the main thoroughfare. West Drayton's parking zones are south of the railway and Yiewsley's are north of it.
The station is on Station Approach, in Zone 6, on the Elizabeth line. In May 2024 the Mayor told the London Assembly that the forecourt work was finished on 20 May 2024: new paving, seating, street trees, lighting and a cycle stand, part paid for with £1.5m from TfL. That parking report also says the Elizabeth line drew a lot of development to Hillingdon's two surface stations, with significant increases in new or upgraded homes.
UB7 homes vary a good deal as a result. The council links its WD2 parking zone to extensive residential development north and east of Porters Way, and the houses near The Green are in one of the borough's conservation areas.
Parking zones around the station
For any address near the station, sort out parking first. The West Drayton and Yiewsley parking management schemes both started in September 2010, and West Drayton's has since grown to seven zones. The council's report places the zones like this.
| Zone | Roads it takes in |
|---|---|
| WD1 | Just south of the railway: Warwick Road, Brandville Road and Bellclose Road east of Station Road, plus part of Colham Mill Road to the west |
| WD2 | Porters Way and some of the roads beside it |
| WD3 and WD4 | Centred on Frays Avenue and Ferrers Avenue |
| Yiewsley scheme | The residential roads near the station, on the other side of the line |
If you live in one of these zones, let us know when you ask for a quote whether there's a visitor permit, a driveway or a pay and display bay nearby, and your cleaner won't spend the first ten minutes looking for a space.
Houses around The Green and Harmondsworth
West Drayton Green was made a conservation area on 10 November 1969, and Harmondsworth Village followed on 29 January 1970. The council's West Drayton walk gets to Harmondsworth by a footbridge over the M4. Southlands Arts Centre is on The Green, and the council's listing for the Southlands grounds mentions ornamental gardens, a meadow walk and a nature area with a pond.
Got sash windows, original tiles or an open fireplace? Mention them and they'll go on the checklist. A regular domestic clean once a week or once a fortnight keeps kitchens, bathrooms and floors under control. If the house has got away from you, start with a one-off deep clean and move to regular visits after that. Any products you'd like us to use, or to keep out of the house because of an allergy, can go in your quote request.
Moving in, moving out and building work
Leaving a rented flat in UB7? Our end of tenancy cleaning page describes the move-out clean. The Uxbridge end of tenancy guide goes through deposit deductions and Hillingdon's bulky waste collection, which is run by the borough, so West Drayton gets the same fees and item rules. Landlords turning a flat round between tenants should look at cleaning for landlords.
After an extension, a new kitchen or a full refurbishment, plaster dust can keep settling in cupboards, vents and light fittings for a while after the builders have gone. After builders cleaning deals with that, and it's a separate job from a deep clean.
Offices and shops in the district centre
A shop or small workplace on Station Road has to be cleaned around its trading hours. We work from 6am to 10pm, seven days a week, so floors, washrooms and kitchens can be done before you open or after you close. What's included is on the office cleaning page. Send us your floor area and the hours the premises are empty.
The canal, The Closes and the leisure centre
The Grand Union Canal towpath comes into Yiewsley at Trout Road.
3.8km of towpath
Canal towpath
Working with the council and TfL, the Canal & River Trust widened and resurfaced this stretch between Printing House Lane in Hayes, Stockley Park and Trout Road.
The council's 3.7-mile West Drayton walk begins outside West Drayton Library, crosses The Closes and goes over the M4 to St Mary's Church in Harmondsworth, then through the village and over Harmondsworth Moor.
The new leisure centre on Rowlheys Place is the Platinum Jubilee Leisure Centre, the council's fifth sports centre. It opened to the public on 20 April 2026, with a 25-metre pool and the borough's first splash pad with a flume.
